Management Accountant London (GB)

LGT Wealth Management UK LLP is a UK-based partnership, wholly owned by the private banking group LGT, which is in turn owned by the Princely Family of Liechtenstein. Business Unit

The Finance department is responsible for all financial reporting for LGT Wealth Management.  Financial reporting includes regular and ad hoc internal management information for all three entities as detailed above, as well as statutory reporting to Companies House, HMRC and Financial Conduct Authority. The Finance department takes a lead role in enabling the senior management of the firm to deliver on the Group’s strategy.

Brief Role Objective:

As Management Accountant you are responsible for the production of timely monthly financial information in the form of Management Accounts, Management Information and KPI data, including written reporting on analytical review and budget variance analysis. Additionally, you will be responsible for detailed balance sheet control and support to junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing monthly consolidated management accounts for the LGT WM Group
• Preparing individual monthly management accounts for the main UK Firm and the 3 newly acquired ‘Elm’ entities operating in the UK and Jersey
• Preparing month-end Management Information – including memo’s, commentary and board reports.
• Produce Key Performance Indicator file and ad hoc financial analysis.
• Analysis on the financials - including analytical review and commentary.
• Support to Junior staff including training and development.
• Preparing and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations – investigating and actively clearing down balances.
• Maintaining Fixed Asset register, ensuring it agrees to the management accounts, and ensuring all capital items have been captured.
• Intercompany reconciliations within LGT WM Group and the wider LGT Group, including communications with Group counterparts.
• Ownership of the Corporation Tax and Partnership tax returns for each entity.
• One of 2 lead contacts for the statutory financial audit.

Experience:

• Professionally qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
• 3+ years post qualified experience within a Finance Team
• Strong Excel skills
• Solid understanding of financial reporting requirements
• Experience in preparing management account and key performance data
• Proven stakeholder management experience and relationship building skills
