Jie Wu is a seasoned investment adviser with over 18 years’ experience in the banking and finance industry. He understands the complexities of managing Asian UHNW/HNW investors and family offices crafted through years of experience in finance, the majority of which were in private banking.
He joined LGT Wealth Management from Wingate, a prominent Australian private markets finance and investment house, where he served as a Director. With over three years at Wingate, he played a pivotal role in providing Asian investors with access to the company's highly regarded short and medium-term private debt investments.
Prior to his role at Wingate, Jie Wu spent almost five years as a Senior Private Banker at NAB. He managed Asian UHNW clients and family offices, particularly SIV (Significant Investor Visa/188C) individuals, by assisting them with their complex wealth management decisions.
Jie started his career at Citibank in 2005 after completing his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Monash University. He held various roles in Citi where he assisted Asian UHNW/HNW individuals’ investment needs by providing investment advice for sophisticated products, including managed fund, structure products, bonds, and derivatives. In 2014 he moved to Westpac where he continued to look after the same segment clients.
He is passionate about helping his clients to achieve their financial goals and objectives. He believes this can be achieved by building up long term relationships, working diligently with clients, developing, and implementing the strategies that assist them in attaining their personal plans and making sure it will always in the best interests of the client.
Jie is fluent in Mandarin and holds a Diploma in Financial Planning.
