Michael Tritton has 30 years’ experience in financial markets and has held senior management positions in Investment Banking & Wealth Management since 2005.
Based in Queensland, Michael is a member of LGT Wealth Management’s National Executive Committee and is the Head of Advisory for New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia.
Born and educated in Brisbane, Michael spent 17 years at UBS in Sydney, London and Brisbane. In Sydney, Michael worked in the Equity Trading and Derivatives division of UBS Investment Bank. In London, he serviced institutional clients in Europe as the Head of the Australasian Equity Sales Desk.
In Brisbane, he established the Queensland UBS Wealth Management business in 2007 and developed it into a significant business in challenging and volatile market conditions.
As a member of the Executive Committee, Michael was a member of the team that led the buyout of UBS Wealth Management to form LGT Wealth Management Wealth Management in 2016 and then led the sale of LGT Wealth Management Wealth Management to LGT in 2022. In his current role, Michael has senior management responsibility for advisers, client facing activity and front office risk management.
Michael is passionate about economics, investing, portfolio construction and has a strong risk background.
Michael is a CFA Charter Holder. He has degrees in Commerce and Economics from the University of Queensland, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment and was formerly a Director of the Stockbrokers and Investment Advisers Association.
