As an Investment Adviser at LGT Wealth Management, Stephen brings deep expertise in strategic asset allocation and alternative investments. He works closely with clients to understand their broader financial position, priorities and ambitions, helping develop considered investment strategies that balance opportunity, risk and long-term wealth preservation.
A Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst and Chartered Accountant, Stephen has more than 25 years’ experience in private wealth. He was a founding member of Credit Suisse’s Private Bank in 2008 and most recently served as an Executive Director at UBS Wealth Management and Head of Investment Consulting. Across his career, he has advised high net worth clients and institutions on complex investment decisions and portfolio construction.
Stephen holds a Bachelor of Business degree and is known for his thoughtful, analytical approach and ability to make complex investment concepts accessible. He believes strong advice is built on clear communication, disciplined decision-making and a genuine understanding of what matters most to each client.
Outside work, Stephen is married to Sarah and is a proud father of four. A former Southern Districts rugby player, he played more than 300 club games and was once the Shute Shield’s leading try scorer, with a record 21 tries in a season. These days, he remains closely involved with the club as a volunteer and is an enthusiastic golfer.
