Your challenge

  • Develop the global FX, precious metals and digital assets strategy for LGT Private Bank Europe

  • Monitor macroeconomic news flow, central bank policy, follow market dynamics, build FX valuation and forecasting models

  • Utilize the derived findings in order to contribute to the bank's investment strategy

  • Provide relationship managers and clients with timely market updates, investment views and tactical recommendations

  • Prepare and present investable recommendations in weekly investment meetings

  • Generate high-conviction investment and trading ideas based on macroeconomic and fundamental analysis

  • Collaborate closely with macroeconomic analysis colleagues, as well as fixed income and equity strategy teams to assess cross-asset implications 

  • Present LGT Private Bank Europe investment views to front colleagues as well as to private clients

Your profile

  • University degree in economics, finance or related discipline

  • Previous practical or research experience in a currency and/or precious metal strategy and knowledge of digital assets are beneficial

  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in investment strategy, research or a comparable field; exceptional recent graduates will also be considered

  • CFA or CEFA/CIIA qualification, or progress towards one of these certifications, is an advantage

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including statistical methods and advanced Excel capabilities; MATLAB is a plus

  • Familiarity with forecasting and trading models; experience in backtesting and cross-asset strategy is an advantage

  • Fluency in English and German, with strong communication skills and a client-oriented mindset

  • Independent, committed and service-oriented personality with a professional demeanour, strong team spirit, and willingness to travel occasionally
