We are looking for a Principal Engineer to set technical direction and strengthen how software is designed, built and run across LGT Wealth Management Australia. You will work across our core wealth platform, integrations, data and client channels, helping teams deliver secure, resilient and maintainable systems.

- Champion reliability and operability through observability, resilience practices, service level objectives and incident reviews; act as a senior escalation point for complex production issues.
- Embed secure-by-design and DevSecOps practices, partnering with Information Security on cybersecurity and regulatory obligations.
- Make technical debt visible and lead pragmatic modernisation and refactoring with incremental, low-risk migration paths.
- Improve developer experience and delivery flow, using performance measures and evidence-led experiments, including responsible use of AI-assisted engineering tools.
- Work with the Enterprise Architect to turn target-state architecture into implementable designs, and assess the technical fit of vendor, SaaS and Group platforms.
- Provide technical due diligence on vendor, SaaS and Group platforms, covering APIs, extensibility, integration quality, security posture and exit options, and hold partners to agreed engineering standards.
- Mentor engineers, develop technical leaders and contribute to hiring standards and a strong engineering culture.
