Over 100 years of combined private wealth experience strengthens LGTWM’s growing adviser team and deepens its offering to Australia’s wealthiest families, highlighting the firm’s appeal as a preferred destination for talent in a fiercely competitive market

SYDNEY, 7 September 2026 – LGT Wealth Management Australia (LGTWM) has expanded its Sydney private client advisory team with the appointment of five senior investment advisers.

Michael Marr, Sean Carroll, Seamus Quick, Stephen Cabot and Patrick Armitage join from UBS Wealth Management (UBS), each bringing more than two decades of experience across private banking and wealth management. Collectively, the five appointments add significant senior capability in Sydney and deepen LGTWM’s expertise in advising high- and ultra-high-net-worth families, entrepreneurs and philanthropic organisations on complex investment and intergenerational wealth needs.

The expansion reflects LGTWM’s continued investment in its private wealth proposition. The LGTWM offering combines the global capabilities of LGT Group and the long-term perspective that comes from its private ownership by the Princely Family of Liechtenstein, the strength of one of Australia’s largest in-house investment and advisory teams, and deep expertise in private markets and sustainable investing – all brought together in a bespoke, team-based model built for sophisticated families and organisations.

Michael Chisholm, Chief Executive Officer of LGTWM, said: “At a time when families are navigating increasingly complex investment decisions and significant intergenerational wealth transitions, we are deliberately building the depth, continuity and collective expertise required to support them over the long term.

“A move of this significance is carefully considered. The decision by five senior advisers to join LGTWM is a strong endorsement of the platform we have built and its appeal in a market where experienced advisers have considerable choice.

“Private ownership is not simply a point of difference for LGT; what matters is what it enables. Our ownership by the Princely Family of Liechtenstein allows us to take a genuinely long-term view and invest consistently in our people, investment capabilities and client relationships,” Chisholm continued.

“This long-term foundation is complemented by a strong local investment team and deep expertise across private markets and sustainable investing. Together, these capabilities give our advisers the breadth of support required to meet the increasingly sophisticated needs of Australian families and organisations.

“The addition of Michael, Sean, Seamus, Stephen and Patrick represents an important step in the continued development of our Australian private wealth business, and we look forward to the contribution they will make to our business and the clients we serve,” Chisholm concluded.

About the new advisers

Michael Marr – Partner, Investment Adviser: Michael was most recently Head of Global Wealth Management Australia at UBS, having previously led Credit Suisse’s Australian wealth management business for more than seven years. He has more than 25 years’ experience in private banking and wealth management across Australia, the UK and the broader Asia-Pacific region. During 17 years at Credit Suisse and UBS, Michael held senior leadership and client-facing roles, leading teams of relationship managers, investment specialists and integration project managers while advising entrepreneurs, families and family offices. Earlier in his career, he advised private clients at Macquarie Private Bank and worked in fixed income at Royal Bank of Canada in London. Michael began his career in the British Army’s Scots Guards, reaching the rank of Captain, and is Board President of the Veerni Foundation, which supports the education and empowerment of young women in rural Rajasthan, India.

Sean Carroll – Partner, Investment Adviser: Sean is a private banking and wealth management professional with more than 20 years’ experience across the global financial services industry. He advises entrepreneurs, C-suite executives and philanthropic organisations, taking an integrated approach across each client’s balance sheet and broader financial needs. Sean holds a Bachelor of Commerce from University College Dublin and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with KPMG before building his career in private wealth, including senior roles with Credit Suisse and UBS.

Seamus Quick – Partner, Investment Adviser: Seamus was a founding member of Credit Suisse's Australian Private Banking franchise in 2008 and joins LGTWM from UBS, where he was an Executive Director in the Global Wealth Management division.
He is a senior wealth manager with more than 25 years' experience advising clients across Australia, New Zealand and the United States. Seamus provides disciplined, institutional-level portfolio management to business founders and high-net-worth families, coordinating specialist advice across complex capital, liquidity and risk needs. Having guided clients through the technology bubble of the 1990s, the Global Financial Crisis and multiple rate-hiking cycles, his investment philosophy centres on disciplined diversification and strategic asset allocation, rather than short-term market timing, to protect and grow wealth across generations. Seamus is an alumnus of The Scots College and holds a Bachelor of Arts from Mount Saint Mary’s University, Maryland. His broader contributions include long standing philanthropic involvement across the arts, culture, and healthcare sectors, complemented by his role as a private investor supporting early-stage ventures in Australia and New Zealand.

Stephen Cabot – Partner, Investment Adviser: Stephen was a founding member of Credit Suisse's Private Bank in 2008, most recently serving as an Executive Director of UBS and Head of Investment Consulting. Stephen specialises in strategic asset allocation and alternative investments, advising high-net-worth clients and institutions on building resilient, diversified portfolios. He is a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst and Chartered Accountant with a Bachelor of Business degree and brings more than 25 years' experience in the private wealth sector.

Patrick Armitage – Partner, Investment Adviser: Patrick has worked in the Sydney financial services industry for 20 years, with a strong reputation both professionally and personally. A graduate of Flinders University with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts, he began his career as a financial services lawyer with Blake Dawson (now Ashurst Australia) before moving to Sydney to join Macquarie Private Bank. He then spent 17 years at Credit Suisse Private Bank and, following the 2023 takeover, UBS, and is a CFA Charterholder. Patrick has deep expertise advising families and philanthropic organisations on complex issues across both sides of the balance sheet, known for his detailed approach and collaborative style in building long-term client relationships.

LGT Wealth Management is wholly owned by the LGT Group, backed by the Princely Family of Liechtenstein's 900-year legacy of wealth stewardship. This foundation underpins the firm's long-term approach to preserving and growing family wealth across generations.
