Unmasking market potential: Discovering untapped value with Stan Shamu

  • Date

LGT Crestone Senior Portfolio Manager, Stan Shamu, was recently featured on Ausbiz to discuss how we are positioning portfolios ahead of the U.S. elections and rising geopolitical tensions. We remain cautiously overweight in growth assets, particularly in Australian equities, where we see significant value in mid-cap and value-oriented stocks. With global benchmarks often dominated by large U.S. technology sectors, we believe there are strong opportunities emerging beneath the surface.

In fixed income, we have reduced our global government bond exposure but continue to overweight Australian bonds for their income potential and defensiveness. Alternatives also play a vital role in spreading risk. As always, diversification is key, and we are focused on ensuring quality and protection across portfolios.
