LGT Private Banking was designated Best Private Bank for Sustainable Investing in Western Europe and Best Private Bank in Liechtenstein by Global Finance magazine. In addition to these accolades, LGT received the Best Private Bank for Alternatives award at the prestigious PWM/The Banker Global Private Banking Awards for the fourth time in a row.
LGT performed very well at the World’s Best Private Banks Awards, which was organized by the internationally acclaimed financial magazine Global Finance. Thanks to its comprehensive range of products and services and extensive experience in sustainable investing, the bank was named Best Private Bank for Sustainable Investing in Western Europe. Earlier in the year, the magazine presented LGT with the Outstanding Leadership in Sustainability Transparency award for Western Europe at its inaugural Sustainable Finance Awards. “Sustainability is extremely important to us, both as an investor and as an investment advisor. We have long-standing experience in this area, and in recent years, have built up a broad range of corresponding products and services,” says Olivier de Perregaux, CEO LGT Private Banking. “Helping our clients make their portfolios more sustainable is also important to us. We therefore show them in a transparent manner how sustainable investments really are, how their existing investments impact the environment and society and which opportunities arise as a result of this. We are extremely pleased that our efforts on various fronts have been recognized.” In addition to these awards, Global Finance designated LGT Best Private Bank in Liechtenstein.
An award for innovative, sustainable investment solutions
In early November, the Financial Times publications Professional Wealth Management (PWM) and The Banker recognized the world’s best private banks at the thirteenth Global Private Banking Awards. LGT’s innovative ESG and impact investing solutions impressed the jury in the alternative investments category. “LGT stands out for its long-standing experience in the alternatives space, across all asset classes, but especially in private markets, as well as for its consistent focus on the interests of the client and its innovative solutions in the areas of ESG and impact investing,” explains Yuri Bender, a jury member and PWM Editor-in-Chief. LGT impressed the 16 members of the independent jury and was designated Best Private Bank for Alternatives for the fourth time in a row.
"Investor focus is increasingly shifting towards sustainable investing and impact investing – also when it comes to alternative investments"” says Olivier de Perregaux. "Investors want to reduce the risk in their portfolios, tap into new sources of return and generate environmental and social returns in addition to financial returns. Alternative investments are a very interesting asset class in this regard, and we are therefore working hard to also offer our clients exciting sustainable investment opportunities in this area. These awards confirm that we are on the right track and serve as an added incentive for us to ensure we continue to innovate."
