Heinz has over 30 years’ experience in managing client assets, joining Vestra from Investec Wealth and Investment. He has previously worked as Head of UK Fixed Income at BNP Paribas and at HSBC Investment Management, where he managed the Sterling Fixed Income Team, advising clients across all asset classes. Earlier in his career, Heinz worked in the Zurich and New York offices of UBS.
David Scott, Vestra’s Senior Partner, commented: “We are delighted with this appointment. Heinz brings with him a broad range of experience, working in both international and smaller boutique firms, managing and advising fixed income clients from the private sector, friendly societies, charities and trusts. With Heinz’s additional expertise we can continue to improve our highly personalised service that is expected from the Vestra team.”
At the end of December Vestra, which began trading in 2008, reached £3.1bn AUM, a growth of 24% in 2012. Much of this growth has been driven by new clients, both private and institutional, who have been attracted by the partnership’s ethos of openness, personalised service and conviction investing.
Commenting on the firm’s growth, David Scott said: “despite turbulent global markets and a changing wealth management industry, we continue to provide our clients with unbiased, transparent advice. Since 2008 we have grown our team, bringing in new skills and expertise, enabling us to expand the range and quality of services we can offer our clients, to meet their changing needs. We believe that we have a strong team and strategy in place to continue to grow and build the firm and its reputation into one of the most respected firms within the wealth management industry, in terms of both quality of advice and client service”.
